Tibetan monks from Shechen Monastery, their cheeks reddened by the icy wind of Eastern Tibet. Their white hats, made of cotton on a bamboo frame, are worn as a traditional sign of welcome. These riders have come in procession to greet Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche – on his return to Eastern Tibet in 1985 after more than thirty years in exile – and escort him on the last five kilometers of the route to the monastery. Treat yourself with an exhibition quality, fine art photographic print, signed by the hand of Matthieu Ricard, buddhist monk, photographer and author. He has also been the French interpreter of His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama since 1989. Some of the photographs in his collection are printed in limited edition, signed, numbered and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
