MR1026 Festival of sacred dance

The monks of Shechen Monastery in eastern Tibet continue the tradition of a yearly festival of sacred dance. Musical accompaniment for the dances and processions includes cymbals and conch shells. The Monastery has been restored after its complete destruction during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. 2001.
