High in the mountains of eastern Tibet, five young nomad women wearing elaborate dresses lined in fur (chubas), attend the festival of Mani Gengok in 2004. This is the first time this festival has been held in ten years and the women wear their best family ornaments of amber, coral, turquoise, and rare semi-precious stones inherited from their elders.
